Organization of collection
The Alexander Library houses the principal research collection for RU Libraries on the areas
of Latin America, Caribbean and Spanish & Portuguese Studies. Besides monographs titles,
journals and databases subscriptions, the Alexander Library houses the United States,
foreign, and international documents collections, each of which have important materials
pertinent to these subjects. The Library of Science and Medicine collects materials related to the physical sciences and technology, including
government publications. The Special Collections and University Archives house a strong
collection of Latin American primary documents.
Douglass Library contains part of the women
studies collection as well as the performing arts collection including the Music Library. The
Art Library includes materials related to Latin America, Spanish & Portuguese art and
architecture. The Media Center unit offers a unique list of moving image (videotape, DVD,
laser disc) collections and
Kilmer and
Dana Libraries offers a unique business collection.
