Jazz photo exhibit at Dana Library

Members of the Rutgers community and the general public are invited to visit the exhibition "Jazz on a Summer's Day," on display now through September 3rd in the lobby of the John Cotton Dana Library, on the Rutgers-Newark campus.

"Jazz on a Summer's Day" is a 40-year retrospective of the jazz photography of Institute of Jazz Studies archivist Tad Hershorn. The exhibit focuses on nationally and internationally renowned musicians at work and in concert in the United States and Europe. The subjects include star performers Peggy Lee, Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, B. B. King, Count Basie, Benny Goodman, Ella Fitzgerald, Benny Carter and others. Some of the photographs have been published in jazz trade publications, books and album covers.
