How Do I...
...renew my checkouts?

Rutgers Materials

  1. Go to IRIS, select "MY ACCOUNT," and click on the "Renew Checkouts" option.
  1. Enter your barcode and library PIN. Click on the "List Charged Items" button.
  1. Select the items you wish to renew by placing a check mark in the box provided. To renew all the items you have checked out, click on the radio button next to "Renew All" at the top of the list.
  1. Click on "Renew Selected Items." You will be presented with a list of renewed items and their new due dates.
  1. You cannot renew items that have been recalled by another borrower, reserve materials, and items for which the renewal limit has been reached, or that are not renewed within seven days from the initial due date.

To protect the security of your barcode and PIN, close the BROWSER after you have checked your record on a public terminal.

Interlibrary Loan and E-ZBorrow Materials

  1. Go to IRIS, select "MY ACCOUNT," and click on the "Renew Checkouts" option.
  1. Enter your barcode and library PIN. Click on the "List Charged Items" button.
  1. Select the interlibrary loan and E-ZBorrow items you wish to renew for an additional 28-day loan period by placing a check mark in the box provided. Click on "Renew Selected Items."

The 28-day renewal loan takes effect on the day you renew; 28 days are not added to your original due date unless you renew on that date.

You cannot renew interlibrary and E-ZBorrow materials that are designated "no renewal," that have been recalled by the lending institution, for which the renewal limit has been reached, or that are overdue. Special borrowing restrictions and conditions are noted on the item's book band.

To protect the security of your barcode and PIN, close the BROWSER after you have checked your record on a public terminal.
